Position: AG & LIGHT CONSTRUCTION EQUIP SALES REP – HURON, ERIE, LORAIN COUNTIES & AREAS WEST

Wellington Implement is seeking an experienced individual with a passion for agriculture and machinery to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering top-level service and wants to continue our success in a well-developed area near our Wellington location.
You will be joining a team of professionals who have established our complex’s customer-centric service reputation over the past 96 years in a Case IH “Pinnacle” dealership. You will represent some of the top brands in both agriculture and light construction, while developing new business opportunities within different market segments and areas.
This role will involve routinely getting dirty in the field and on the job site alongside our customers while helping to solve problems or perform equipment demonstrations. Summary: As the face of Wellington Implement, you will provide an unparalleled level of customer service to our farm and construction customers through regular on-site visits, phone calls, and lightning-fast response time to inquiries. This will result in the growth of sales and rental of ag and construction equipment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with self-discipline, as he or she will work with a high degree of independence. Amazing communication and listening skills are required, plus the ability to derive satisfaction from the success of the team and company overall.
Position Attributes:
• This position will have approximately 80% of the time spent in the field
• Deliver excellent service to our existing clients while professionally prospecting to generate new business
• Work with customers to solve problems and provide innovative, cost-effective solutions
• Schedule and execute in-field demonstrations
• Seasonally, support our walk-in clients by matching our top brands of equipment with their needs
• Analyze sales opportunities, solve customer problems, and participate in sales promotions
• Prepare accurate and timely sales proposals with complete descriptions
• Achieve sales targets based on gross sales and margin
• Log sales calls daily and set future appointments in dealership CRM
• Stay current with agricultural & construction equipment product knowledge as well as machine features & benefits
• Have a deep understanding of current finance options to present to clients as well as prepare all sales paperwork and finance agreements
• Attend sales meetings, sales training, and events
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Position Requirements, Education/Experience and Key Competencies
• Customer-first attitude and willing to assist with any task
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities, solid oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer relation and organization skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet short/changing deadlines
• 5 plus years of professional sales experience, preferably with high-value capital goods
• Willingness for continual personal development
• An understanding of ag and construction equipment’s hydraulic, electrical and computer control systems as well as agronomy knowledge
• Associate degree, or higher, in an agricultural- or business-related major or equivalent experience
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
• Results driven & enthusiastic
• Work well with and willing to assist others to achieve top team performance for our customers
• Well organized
• Able to work periodic Saturday mornings March-December, and after hours during peak seasons
