Position: Ag Equipment Technician
Location: Ashland
Reports to: Shop Foreman

Position Attributes
- Analyze and understand a customer’s concern and to provide a solution at the time of need or work to head off a potential failure
- Report to the job on-time, prepared and ready to serve the demands of the industry

- Continue to learn about our product lines and equipment features
- Perform quality work in a professional and timely manner
- Assist service manager by advising customers of necessary service repairs and make recommendations to customers for preventative maintenance
- Maintain in good condition all service tools and service vehicles
- Keep our entire shop area clean
- Take responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment in the shop area and reporting all accidents immediately
- Electronically document all work performed, parts used and labor hours while making repairs or preparing machines for customer use
- Inspect all completed work prior to delivery to our customers
- Recommend new shop equipment which will increase efficiency or which will give our customers more complete coverage
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Position Requirements, Education/Experience and Key Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree, or higher, preferred
- 5+ years of experience as an ag technician
- Computer knowledge, proficient with the internet and the ability to type work orders
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to Report each day on-time, prepared and ready to complete a full-day of work
- Experience with DC Electrical Systems as well as electronics
- Ability to make temporary field repairs to the customers equipment to get the customer running using “think on your feet” mentality
- Understand hydraulic flows and applications
- Able to utilize wiring & fluid power schematics
- Understand how to work with all facets of air conditioning
- Systematic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to analyze Information
- Ability to assist in quoting jobs
- Results driven & enthusiastic
- Work well with and willing to assist others to achieve top team performance for our customer
- Well organized
- Able to work weekends and after hours during peak seasons
